Kosovo: RTK wants to enter Eurovision as soon as possible
Kosovarian broadcaster RTK has shown interest in entering the Eurovision Song Contest. The broadcaster will soon apply for active EBU membership and will hope to get it in time to enter the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.As a national selection, they will use a contest which stopped years ago, called Akordet e Kosoves.
The question remains whether RTK will be able to get active EBU membership, since countries like Serbia, Russia and Greece can object, as they don't recognise the new Republic of Kosovo.

Going back history, the way Serbs tortured and massacred thousands of Kosovo Albanians…Serbs have shown themselves as being crueler than animals...I don’t understand and I will never understand why they still think that Kosovo is part of Serbia, which never was or will be. I am Canadian military, and I seen a lot while on duty there, and surprised that Kosovo Albanians even allow any Serbs in Kosovo, they have broken the trust, but going and shooting their Albanian neighbors that have lived together for years, trust it broken. On top of that over 90% is Albanians so they have the right to decide if they want to be alone or join any other country. People of Kosovo are very kind, helpful, and generous, they should be entering Eurovision, and Serbia can withdraw, they have withdrawn from Europe by being cruel during the 1990 and up war against Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo.

Kosovo won't participate because its not recognised country, and not a member of EBU. There are 15 countries in Eurovision who don't recognise Kosovo, so it cannot enter. If they want they can send songs to Beovizija and try represent Serbia or go to Tirana and represent Albania. There are good singers there in Kosovo, but Kosovo can't participate. And please people stop fighting

I think Kosovo should be allowed to participate in ESC. The people of Kosovo should decide whether they want to participate or not, not some stupid Serbian idiots who've never even been in Kosovo. Serbia, Greece and the other countries can NOT decide over the PEOPLE OF KOSOVO!
