LIVE: EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2007

Show begins with a fantastic video incorporating Lordi.

Hosts are then announced and come onstage. They talk about it being the biggest Eurovision ever and show the list of countries in the final including the telephone number. They then announced that "the final of the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest starts now!"

Bosnia and Herzegovina - Each countries flag appears briefly on stage. Stage is green, stage turns red´fter instrumental break. Nice opener, good vocals, dreadful dress.

Spain - Stage Blue, vocals a little ropey at the start. stage changes to red with 'i luv u mi vida' for chorus. Vocals improving (a bit of an echo though).high part bad though. Dodgy camera work just at the end.

Belarus - Dark set, flowing stars. Great camera work here and vocals good. Very bad final note though but a strong performance overall

Ireland - Irish flag flows up catwork, flower in backdrop. Cathy's hair is styled (that's new). She's looking at the cameras!!! Now playing bodhran and weaving between the rest of the group. Good performance.

Finland - lots of pyrotechnics on stage at the start. Stage starts off blue. Wind machine half way through song. Vocals and camera work good. Stage changes to red at the end with some more pyrotechnics. Very shakey camera just at the very end which looked odd.

Presenters back . Talking about Eurovision fans. They find a woman in the audience(who is obviously an actress) and she says she would love to be hosting the contest and the presenters take her away and say they will try and make her dream come true. Then the songs continue.

FYR Macedonia - Karolina walks through dry ice to the front of the stage. A bit too much dry ice though. She looks like she is in a fog. Quite dark on stage. Wind machine again as soon as the song changes to English. Some pyrotechnics on the last note of the song.

Slovenia - Backshot of Alenka walking to front of stage. Blue stage. She has trouble switching on the light on her hand. Vocals come across really well.Wind machine again. Huge reaction to this one.

Hungary - Excellent vocals. Dark moody set suits the song. Really strong performance. Great camera work.

Lithuania - The stage is ready on time this time, unlike this afternoon's rehearsal. Very effective visually with lights and shadow and vocals really good. Very effective camera work also. Song finishes in darkness.

Greece - Stage starts off red. Sarbel seems really nervous at the very start and is a little offkey but, unlike the first rehearsal , he does improve. Dancing not the best and one of the blue ribbons fell on his head during the instrumental part. Vocals a big improvement though. Great reaction on TV from audience.

Georgia - Sohpho's vocal sight shouty for the high notes. Wide angle stage shot misses most of the dancers actions. Pyrotechnics at the end and another big reaction from the hall on the TV.

Sweden - Ola's work with cameras excellent but vocal sems a bit week and breathless to me. the shot on the spinning disk is really effective. Vocal improving as song progresses. HUGE reaction from the hall.

Commercial Break. The woman who wanted to host is in Helsinki singing Te Deum. the presenters then thank Athens for last years contest and then the show continues.

France - Stage Pink. Lots of French landmarks in the backdrop. Good performance, some vocals a little breathless but a good audience reaction

Latvia - Excellent camera work. Each group member has a white rose´as in the first rehearsal this morning. This is definitely a potential winner. (Verka hasn't got a certain victory I think) Excellent reaction on TV from the hall

Russia - Good camera work on the whole, not sure about the vocals at the start, very starined and not always staying in key. Instrumental dance part looks very dark on screen.

Germany - Great set for this. Good wide shots of the stage. Vocals excellent. Last note ends on a high.Excellent reaction in the hall.

Serbia - no glasses . hand in pocket, Red flowing stage. The walsking betwen the backing singers just looks odd. The vocal is just excellent though.

Ukraine - Great performance, great work with cameras. this is the best comic performance and , if the public go for gimmicks this year, this will win.

Back to presenters who show the list of countries reminding people not to vote just yet.

United Kingdom - Scooch in blue outfits. Good backdrop of flowing white planes on a plain blue background. Trolleys have all of the participants flags on. Good vocals. Good performance, good reaction from the crowd. All good.

Romania - Guy singing in Spanish should have bought his outfit a size larger! Very busy on stage, lots of walking around and 'pretend chat' . Pyrotechnics at the end and a really good crowd reaction!

Bulgaria - Vocals coming across a lopt better than they did in the semi. Strong performance here. Another great reaction in the hall.

Turkey - Very good vocals this time, much better than this afternoon. Really good camera work also. Turkey should be happy with this.

Armenia - This is really well performed with great camera work . It's not the strongest ballad ever heard but this is a dark horse for me. Excellent vocals.

Moldova - Same performance as semi final. Very strong vocals and excellent visual presentation. It's a good rousing song to end the contest. Pyrotechnics at the end a good reaction in the hall.

Then we have a reprise of each song and at the end of the reprise it cuts to the green room where the artist waves to the camera. 15 minutes voting time allowed and the first reprise finishes with 6 minutes and 50 seconds remaining.

Second reprise starts at 4 minutes 20 and finishes with 25 seconds to go.
