ERT sleeps on the Ireland issue?
According to Oikotimes, the media in Greece are wondering today on the poor quality of the Greek official video clip for the contest as almost everyone is displeased with the production outcome, not to mention with the totally negative comments on the song intro change. But the issue that will start soon to be discussed in the media is the lyrics of the Irish entry.
As of December the governments of Greece and Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia opened again the discussions for the name of the later country. The process although primarily failed, is still open as FYR Macedonia aims to enter in the NATO. The issue of FYR Macedonia's name is very hot in both countries and it seems that ERT will have to deal with a sever problem made by the Irish entry. In the lyrics, Dustin the Turkey reffers to a number of countries, calling the country as plain Macedonia.
ERT must be sleeping as if the lyrics are left like that then the country would have been accept in an implied way, the name of the country. Here are the lyrics of the Irish entry:
