United Kingdom: Lloyd-Webber rules out 'silly nonsense' for Eurovision

Andrew Lloyd Webber has ruled out composing "some silly nonsense song" for the UK's Eurovision Song Contest entry.

Lord Lloyd-Webber has been asked by the BBC to put together the UK entry for Eurovision 2009 and will mentor the act selected to perform it.

As we all know, each country must have a back-up jury whose votes are used in the event of problems with televoting. Kosovo: RTK wants to enter Eurovision as soon as possible

Kosovarian broadcaster RTK has shown interest in entering the Eurovision Song Contest. The broadcaster will soon apply for active EBU membership and will hope to get it in time to enter the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. As a national selection, they will use a contest which stopped years ago, called Akordet e Kosoves . The question remains whether RTK will be able to get active EBU membership, since countries like Serbia, Russia and Greece can object, as they don't recognise the new Republic of Kosovo.
