BULGARIA 2009

On the 21st February, the Bulgarian national final for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest was held. After twelve semi finals, three quarter finals and a semi final, it was decided that Krassimir Avramov will represent the country in Moscow with the song Illusion.

    i like the song.just think the actual performence is not good,like that the hell is he wearing hehe.anyway still think the song is good.if he gave a better live performance Bulgaria could win for sure...
    wooow i'm going to vote for bulgaria anyway..

You will remember at the beginning of July, we reported of rumours of the results of the Turkish back up jury, that showed up some interesting reading. As we all know, each country must have a back-up jury whose votes are used in the event of problems with televoting. However, this year the votes of each jury were used to determine one qualifier from each of the semifinals. Kosovo: RTK wants to enter Eurovision as soon as possible

Kosovarian broadcaster RTK has shown interest in entering the Eurovision Song Contest. The broadcaster will soon apply for active EBU membership and will hope to get it in time to enter the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. As a national selection, they will use a contest which stopped years ago, called Akordet e Kosoves . The question remains whether RTK will be able to get active EBU membership, since countries like Serbia, Russia and Greece can object, as they don't recognise the new Republic of Kosovo.
