United Kingdom: BBC must 'seriously examine' its participation
Oikotimes reports, that in his closing remarks on tonight's 53rd Running of the Eurovision Song Contest, the United Kingdom's commentator Terry Wogan declared that the United Kingdom and the rest of Western Europe needs to ''seriously think about'' taking part in Eurovision in future years.
After a night where the voting became farcicle, and it was easy to predict most of the top points, Wogan- who's be guiding the British public through the contest for over 15 years said ''We seriously have to think if we want to still be in this contest, because the voting has become a joke''.
One only need look at the results of the semifinals to see what happens when you split up the block voting. Sadly, unless the EBU actually do something radical, the United Kingdom might not be the only country to consider its participation for next year.
