Eurovision 2008: Te Deum not to be aired this year??

This is a huge worry. Oikotimes reports that after three dress rehearsals, they have noticed that the EBU and RTS begin their transmission only with a very quick almost soundless version of the logo of Eurovison without the Te Deum aired.

Now come on, after 52 years, are they going to that? The website reporter continued by saying "It already made us feel weird but we are not sure that the media and especially the fans really understood what happened. Maybe this is happening because the semifinal intro includes a retro performance of Te Deum."

Anyway lets enjoy what we have left of it.

Kosovo: RTK wants to enter Eurovision as soon as possible

Kosovarian broadcaster RTK has shown interest in entering the Eurovision Song Contest. The broadcaster will soon apply for active EBU membership and will hope to get it in time to enter the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. As a national selection, they will use a contest which stopped years ago, called Akordet e Kosoves . The question remains whether RTK will be able to get active EBU membership, since countries like Serbia, Russia and Greece can object, as they don't recognise the new Republic of Kosovo.
