Greece: Sakis Rouvas in Eurovision 2009?

According to NITRO Radio, Sakis Rouvas is interested to represent Greece in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. The Greek superstar is already negotiating and preparing his project to be submitted by the end of the summer to the Greek national broadcaster.

Sakis Rouvas represented Greece in the 2004 Eurovision edition where he qualified from the semifinal and ranked 3rd in the final. In 2006 he hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens.

    I think Sakis is a good performer but his voice...I don't know...But Helena Paparizou is absolutly fantastic.

    you will not vote Sakis for his voice... only..but for everything else... plus his voice. He is an amazing performer, he had to win in back in 2004 and now it is his turn to bring the contest back to Athens.

Kosovo: RTK wants to enter Eurovision as soon as possible

Kosovarian broadcaster RTK has shown interest in entering the Eurovision Song Contest. The broadcaster will soon apply for active EBU membership and will hope to get it in time to enter the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. As a national selection, they will use a contest which stopped years ago, called Akordet e Kosoves . The question remains whether RTK will be able to get active EBU membership, since countries like Serbia, Russia and Greece can object, as they don't recognise the new Republic of Kosovo.
