Israel: The Dana International Press Conference

Dana International, celebrating the tenth anniversary of her Eurovision Song Contest win in Birmingham, United Kingdom, will hold a special press conference tomorrow, Sunday 18th May for the fans and media in Belgrade.

Dana International returns to the Eurovision Song Contest this year as the composer of the Israeli song presented by Boaz Mauda, Fire in your eyes. After performing at the the Legends and Sensations concert.

The press conference will take place at Hotel M, Bulevar Oslobodenja 56a at 11:00am on Sunday 18th May and Boaz Mauda will be there as a special guest.

You will remember at the beginning of July, we reported of rumours of the results of the Turkish back up jury, that showed up some interesting reading. As we all know, each country must have a back-up jury whose votes are used in the event of problems with televoting. Kosovo: RTK wants to enter Eurovision as soon as possible

Kosovarian broadcaster RTK has shown interest in entering the Eurovision Song Contest. The broadcaster will soon apply for active EBU membership and will hope to get it in time to enter the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. As a national selection, they will use a contest which stopped years ago, called Akordet e Kosoves . The question remains whether RTK will be able to get active EBU membership, since countries like Serbia, Russia and Greece can object, as they don't recognise the new Republic of Kosovo.
